F&A Grand Auditing and Consulting Ltd is looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our Accounting Department. 

This position is suitable for an individual who is at the beginning of their professional career and would like to develop practical experience in accounting, bookkeeping, VAT, taxation and client servicing within a professional services environment. 

The successful candidate will work as part of our accounting team and receive guidance and support from more experienced members of the firm. 

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include: 

• Maintaining accounting records for a portfolio of clients. 

• Recording sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts, payments and journal entries. 

• Performing bank and supplier reconciliations. 

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting records. 

• Preparing supporting schedules and reconciliations. 

• Assisting with VAT reconciliations and the preparation of VAT returns. 

• Assisting with tax-related schedules and supporting documentation. 

• Maintaining accurate client accounting files and supporting documentation. 

• Communicating with clients regarding missing accounting information and supporting documents. 

• Assisting with payroll and other accounting-related assignments where required. 

• Supporting senior accountants with the preparation of management accounts and financial information. 

• Assisting with year-end accounting procedures and audit preparation. 

• Using accounting software and cloud-based accounting systems. 

• Ensuring that assigned work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines. 

• Supporting the wider Accounting and Tax teams where required. 

The ideal candidate should have: 

• A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. 

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles. 

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. 

• Good organisational and analytical skills. 

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team. 

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. 

• Good written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English. 

• Professional attitude and strong work ethic. 

• Ability to work within deadlines. 

Previous experience in an accounting firm or accounting department will be considered an advantage but is not essential. 

Knowledge of accounting platforms such as Xero or other accounting software will also be considered an advantage.
